“The power of visibility can never be underestimated.”

Join in the celebration by reading a few of the many writings by and about Asian and Pacific Americans and their heritage and cultures.
During AAPI Heritage Month and always, I encourage you to visit a AAPI-owned bookstore in person. AAPI-owned bookstores are essential community hubs that foster culture, preserve history, and nourish a love of reading.
This list includes fiction, memoirs and nonfiction works by or about Asian American/Pacific Islanders that touch on the themes of identity and culture, immigration and what it means to belong, as well as stories that explore familial bonds and romantic love.
